Paignton needed a proper night out that didn't involve sticky floors or questionable karaoke. Black Ivory is the piano bar Paignton was missing. Live music every week and well-made cocktails, in a room that's reason enough to stay. Two minutes from the seafront, ten from Torquay.

Live piano every Wednesday from 7.30pm, with guest singers. Jazz on Thursdays, open mic on Sunday afternoons. Not a playlist with the lights down.
The Bar
A signature gin you won't find elsewhere.
Drunken Horse, our signature gin, made with rare and exotic Himalayan botanicals, served as the Drunken Horse Blues or with tonic. Cocktails at £9.50 and a wine list priced to stay for another glass.
The Setting
Small enough to feel personal.
The room changes when someone sits at the piano. Conversations drop and drinks last longer. A big venue never quite manages that.
